The Albany’s Veterans Day Parade is the biggest Veterans Day celebration west of the Mississippi. In 2019, St. Joseph Troop OR-1531 accepted the invitation of OR-2018 to be a part of the hundreds of entries and thousands of spectators in honoring our veterans.

OR-1531 and OR-2018 pose for a final picture after having completed the parade.  It felt like a lot longer than two miles, but it also went by quickly.
VFW Post 441 from Salem, OR gave the Trailmen large US flags to instill patriotism.
When Trailmen weren’t passing out candy to young onlookers or waving the American flag, they were sitting around the “campfire” or “trying” to catch fish.
Not all of the candy was passed out.
You couldn’t ask for a better parade for OR-1531 to get their feet wet.  The onlookers were very supportive and excited to see Trail Life in action.
