This July Trailmen throughout Oregon, Washington, Idaho, and Utah came to Camp Dakota for the fourth Northwest Regional Roundup. The theme of this year’s Roundup is “Iron Sharpens Iron.” It comes from Proverbs 27:17, “Iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another.”
Each Trailman at the Roundup took the opportunity to forge and strengthen friendships with Trailmen within their Troop and throughout our region. “A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for adversity” – Proverbs 17:17. The schedule and events were designed to foster fellowship between Trailmen and Adult Leaders throughout the Region, provie a memorable outdoor adventure experience for Trailmen, grow leaders through use of the Patrol Method, and of course launch our Troops after the Pandemic.
and immediately brings in mind to me the scriptures “He made my mouth like a sharp sword, in the shadow of his hand he hid me.” Is 49:2-3, and “The sword of the Spirit, is the word of God.” Eph 6:17. “The Word of God is living and effective, sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating even between soul and spirit, joint and marrow, and able to discern reflection and thoughts of the heart. Hebrews 4:12-13.
